People are always posting in forums and asking me when I think the next PageRank update will be. I am going to post this here in hopes some of you will read it and use what you read to be able to predict this stuff whenever you want. Basically, Google updates its pagerank roughly 4 times per year, on a 3 month basis. The previous Google PR update was right before New Years day. Therefor, my personal prediction on the next PR update will be around late March or at the latest, early April. If you haven’t been building links lately then now is the time to get busy. It’s already the middle of February and you will need to allow Google time to discover your new backlinks. Incase you want some ideas on places to submit your links for free check out these ideas:

Comment on DoFollow blogs – You can search for dofollow blog directories. Read their blog and leave a useful comment. It may get approved giving you a free dofollow backlink!

DoFollow Web Directories – Another simple way to get free backlinks. Search Google for “dofollow web directories” and start submitting!

Relevant Link Exchanges – It’s been said time and time again but these are about the best kinds of PR links you can get. Find relevant sites to your niche and email them asking for a simple link exchange. You give them a link from a resource or sub page of your website, and they do the same in return!

Get your backlink building done now and look for the next Pagerank update around late March or early April of 2010!

I took a Visual Basic class back in college and it’s been forever since I’ve played in this event driven environment. However, my father and I finally decided to get our first official VB .NET application underway. This program has been an excellent project for both of us and is coming along rather well. ATGrabber is going to be an addon tool that works hand in hand with SpectraVue. SpectraVue is a peice of beacon radio software that works with SDR-IQ’s (Software Defined Radios) to capture signals sent out from beacons all over the planet. We hope to support a number of other radio software packages in the second version but version 1 itself has taken a bit longer to finish than we anticipated. We are hoping to have it launched and available for purchase by the beginning of March.

If all goes well and ATGrabber is a hit be sure to keep an eye out for a number of other applications we will be working on putting together.

If you have a Facebook account then I’m pretty sure you have heard or seen the word “App” before. So what exactly is a Facebook app? Well… have you ever logged into your Facebook account and had someone send you an invitation to join them in Mafia Wars? How about someone requesting to add your birthday to their calendar? Or, send you a gift such as a drink or a cup of coffee? All of these things are done using an App, short for Application. Facebook has their own language called FBML which goes in nicely with PHP and some of these applications do not take much coding. Many businesses have also started making fun facebook applications to help promote their business. The nice thing about Facebook applications is that a unique and interactive game can have visitors coming back on a daily basis.

I did not write this app from scratch. I did find a chunk of the code online and made appropriate changes for a more unique style and feal. Take a second and visit Mafia Beat Down. It’s a fun RPG (role-player game) that allows you to build a mafia character and earn cash, build a posse, buy weapons, fight other users, and tons of other cool stuff. Take a second and check it out, your character is created by simply adding the application.

Some of you may remember my previous post called the CPALead review. Well, AdultAccessNow is a new CPA site owned by the same people, only for adult publishers. If you run adult websites and are in need of a good/solid CPA provider then AdultAccessNow is the way to go. With ontime payments, excellent customer support, and great offers you are assured to be happy.

So how does the widget work? It’s pretty simple actually, you login to AAN and create your widget. You are then provided with some javascript code to stick in your website. The code will lock content on your website until the visitor completes an offer. Once the visitor has completed an offer the content is unlocked and they can continue browsing/downloading/surfing or whatever.

AdultAccessNow lets you customize and monetize the offers you present your visitors with. You can make your customers complete short free surveys, complete free trial offers, or paid offers (which require credit cards). This gives you full customizing options and lets you make the most off your traffic!

I would recommend AdultAccessNow and proudly give it a 10 out of 10 just as I did with CPALead. Adult Access Now is a solid company run by a great time. Apply and get your account going today!

If you haven’t heard of CPALead then you must be obsolete to the CPA (Cost Per Action) industry. CPALead is owned by the Incentive CPA Network and has been making some webmasters up to $20,000+ per month. So where may you have seen a CPALead ad? They have become popular across free movie type websites, proxy websites (website unblockers), facebook games, and many others.

So how does CPALead make you money? Well, it’s actually pretty simple really. Your visitor comes to your website and tries to access something. In order for them to gain access they must first complete an action. This is where your site monetization skills come into effect.

CPALead offers you a few different options for actions you can offer your visitors:

They can pay you directly though Paypal and then gain access to your content

They can complete short free survey and then gain access to your content

They can complete a free trial offer (like getting a free sample)

They can complete a paid trial offer (credit cards are required for these)

They can pay you directly via their cell phone (Added to their monthly bill)

Now here’s the fun part…The customization is completely up to you! You can choose to only show your visitors short surveys, or only show them paid offers, HOWEVER you want it. Not only that, you can enable or disable whatever surveys you want.

My overall rating on CPALead is a 10 out of 10. My only recomendation would be quicker payouts. If you make less than $1,000 per month you are paid on a net+30 basis, otherwise if you make $1,000+ you are paid on a net+15 basis. They always pay on time and I have been using them for months! A great CPA company, probably one of the best!

Article submissions can be a great way to gain backlinks to your site or blog. Blog post’s can be a great way to add more content and get more page’s indexed in the search engines, thus sending your more traffic. So what do both of these things have in common? They both deal with writing and and typing. Not only that though, the way a search engine such as Google treats both of these can have a huge impact on your site.

Many people fail to realize how important having unique content can really be for your website. What do I mean by unique content? I mean typing it out yourself and not copying what someone else has already shared and put on the web. When you copy someones content word for word often times search engines will flat out ignore this content. Google, Microsoft, and Yahoo actually announced earlier this year that they would be supporting a new tag that should be used anytime you are posting duplicate content to your website.

I don’t think I can stress enough how important it is to always write blog posts by hand yourself, rather than visiting someone elses blog and copying their post – or automatically downloading it via autoblogger scripts. Same with articles; if you are every writing articles to submit to article directories try and write one unique article for each directory rather than writing one article and submitting it to directories. By writing a completely unique article by hand and submitting it to only one directory it can rank higher in the SERPs, therefor getting you more traffic from it. Google and other search engines absolutely love uniquely written content.

Well, New Years Eve is finally here and the question is, what am I going to do? Although I don’t have an answer to that question yet, I do have some pretty nice recent domain sales to share with all of you for the end of December. These names were not sold by me, but were verified via NameBio.

BottleStopper.com $2,205
Britney-Spears.net $760
ForexIndicators.com $1,000
CeramicTiles.com $11,000
BestPennyStocks.com $20,000
vGmail.com $10,000

It looks like some lucky domain owners had a nice bonus after Christmas. Most of these sales were completed between 12/25/2009 and 12/30/2009.

I was able to snag a great adult domain in an auction about a week ago for just $18. I did some research on the name before buying it and found some great info. It was previously developed and indexed in Google. The domain was a great .BIZ and I just completed the sale for $500. On an $18 investment that is a pretty nice return on my investment. Not to mention I just listed the domain for sale yesterday. I would prefer not to disclose the domain name in this post but I will say it was adult related and was a BIZ domain extension. I will admit I’ve noticed a loss in the number of domain sales completed during this recession, but there is still money to be made. Although I am sure this name would have sold for double the amount in good times, you can still make some excellent returns if you chase the right domains. Good luck to all of my readers I hope you guys hammer some similar sales!

I explained to her how blogs can be a great way to share events going on in your life and good/bad things that happen along the way. She decided it was time for her to start one and now we are on our way. She’s really into music and has decided she wants to start a new music blog. I’ve been scanning deleted domain lists lately and also looking around the boards to see what others are selling. If you have some cool music blog related domains for sale please feel free to share them in a comment, but DON’T SPAM! If you know of some cool ones that are available feel free to share those as well. If I register one of them I will repay you with a blogroll link to one of your sites or something. Once we find the right domain I’ll be tricking her new blog out with a nice theme and everything else. Can’t wait!

One of the best way to find good domains is through expired domain auctions. A number of different registrars offer these expired domain auctions. GoDady (TDNam), Snapnames, and DynaDot are just a few. Anyways, I really like the auction platform at DynaDot. Incase you may not be aware, DynaDot is by far one of my favorite registrars out there. Why you ask? For a few reasons:

They accept PayPal

They provide an API for drop catching

They don’t try to upsell you on a bunch of things like GoDaddy does

Aside from that, if you’re looking for a good domain you may wanna check out the <a href=”http://www.dynadot.com/marketplace/expired/” target=”_blank”>DynaDot Expired Domain Auctions</a>. You might find a good deal on a good name! It’s not too popular right now so you can usually get LLLL.com, CVCV.net, and other generics at a really good deal!
